Rehearsals begin 9/14/08. Adult Choir Practice Summer Schedule: If anyone knows the whereabouts of the CFC key on the blue strap, please return it to the church office. Thank You!! Meet at the church, 6:30 pm, Tuesday, July 1, in the Youth Room. This will be a training event for anyone interested in working with the new Pioneer Club for children and youth that will start this fall on Wednesday evenings. We need BOTH men and women to lead these classes. Please see Phil or Christina Prunty for details. Welcome Luncheon - right after Sunday School on July 13 in the CFC. Welcoming back Rick & Cheri Brown for another conference year and Phil (as associate pastor) along with wife, Christina, and children, Reid & Camden Prunty. Food will be provided - please come make our pastors and their families feel WELCOME!! Ruble's Sternwheeler "Fellowship Cruise", Thursday, July 17. Board starting at 6 pm at Point Park (changed from Civitan). See Kathryn Smith or Jennifer Hupp with questions. Pool Party! The District Youth Team will be sponsoring a Free Pool Party at the Parkersburg City Park on Friday, August 1 from 7 to 9 pm. This even is open to EVERYONE, not just youth. It would be a great outing. Abraham & Sarah - A Journey of Love Please join us on a trip to the Living Waters Theater near Lancaster, PA, to see the live production of Abraham and Sarah, on August 8 and 9, 2008. We will have a buffet meal (included) then go to the play. On Saturday morning, after a complimentary breakfast, you will have the choice of going to the National Civil War Museum ($5 admission is extra), Harrisburg East Hill Mall, or swimming at the motel (check out is noon). As we head back, we will make a quick stop at Hershey's Chocolate World where you can ride through a tour of how chocolate is made and buy some Hershey's Chocolate. Reservation and payment is due by July 6, 2008. All rooms have 2 queen sized beds and a couch. Make your payments to SPUMC, designated for the Abraham trip. Please complete and place in the offering plate, or place in the clear plastic tray on the secretary's desk or call the church office. The secretary is in the office all day on Wednesdays (except 12-1 lunch). HELP...Please write announcements, prayer requests or blessings and give them to the liturgist PRIOR to the beginning of worship services so we can get the names correct and they can be read into the microphone for all to hear. You are invited to WALK IN THE CFC on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. A great time for walking at your own pace, inside out of the weather, and also for good Christian fellowship.
